Festival is Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 11 am – 7 pm
Nearly a century ago, the founders of our church came to America, bringing with them their faith, traditions, and family recipes. For generations these recipes have been passed down through the families of our parish, and for more than 90 years we have been sharing these treasured culinary traditions with our local community. Try authentic foods from the countries where our faith and heritage is rooted, including Lebanon, Syria, Greece.
Seating is available this year!
This year, we are offering a Traditional Plate for dine in, take out, or indoor seating. You can come in to order and sit down to eat (and visit the Mediterranean Marketplace, too), take your food to go, or you can go through our drive thru. The Traditional Plate includes:
- Green Beans & Rice, Kibbee, 2 Cabbage Rolls, Greek Salad, Baklawa, Talame Bread ($22)
Cash, check, credit card and pre-paid tickets are accepted in the drive-thru, carry-out, and Marketplace.
Delicious Food with Convenience
We combined our most popular dishes into two unique plated meal options, plus a dessert sampler plate. With all the favorites our guests have come to love, we have something for everyone. Meals can be purchased using our convenient and efficient drive-thru or inside the church for take out or dine in!
Mediterranean Marketplace
Shop our selection of unique pastries, breads, desserts, and other items from around the world, along with classic American favorites on Saturday. Many of these items are one-of-a-kind and can’t be found anywhere else in Wichita! We have something for everyone, but quantities are limited!
Activities
You’ll find many activities at this year’s Festival, including shopping our Mediterranean Marketplace and bookstore, taking a church tour, entering our raffle, and joining us for evening prayers
2025 Charity: Meaningful Life Foundation
St. Mary Orthodox Church is committed to helping those in our community who are in need. The income from our Festival helps us do that in a very meaningful way by donating 10% of our net proceeds to a local charity. In 2025, we are supporting the Meaningful Life Foundation.
They provide opportunities to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through life-enriching programs with an emphasis on health and fitness, volunteerism, and community socialization.
The Meaningful Life Foundation proudly serves individuals with disabilities through a variety of social, sports, art, and music programs. We hope to inspire growth and independence among our participants while celebrating their unique abilities and gifts. Their greatest achievement is the community of family and friends they’ve built to support one another in their journey as families of individuals with special needs. They are honored to be the beneficiary of the 2025 Mediterranean Festival with St. Mary Orthodox Church. Funds from this event will go directly to sponsoring their large, seasonal family fun events. In the past, these events have included private rentals of Rock River Rapids and Cedar Creek Pumpkin Patch. These events allow their participating families to experience locations and activities in a safe, judgment-free environment with like-minded friends. By providing a sensory-friendly experience, they allow families to participate in traditional activities from which they may feel isolated. They tell us, “Thank you for the opportunity to continue to serve our families and enrich their lives in a MEANINGFUL way!”
