Other Notes
(1) BELLES HOLY BREAD: All parishioners (including men) are invited to join The Belles on Saturday, October 22, to make Holy Bread. Mixing begins at 7:30 am. Prep work for the Fall Festival will take place as well. Lots of help would be appreciated.
(2) FALL FESTIVAL: Our annual Church School fundraiser is scheduled for Sunday, October 23, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Please see the linked flyer for more important details. In addition, since many of you are new to the parish since we last hosted a Fall Festival in 2019, here are a few key points about the festival.
- It’s for everyone – games with prizes for the kids (and the young at heart) and an adult dartboard with amazing prizes.
- Chili and hot dogs for purchase for dinner.
- Tickets are 25 cents. Bring cash or checks to buy them.
- Please bring cakes/cookies/cupcakes to donate for the Cake Walk.
- Please bring a couple 2-liter bottles of soda to donate for the pop toss.
- People are encouraged to dress up, but please no scary or otherwise inappropriate costumes.
- If you volunteered to work a shift, thank you! Please plan to be there 10 minutes early. Thanks!
(3) ANNUAL PARISH MEETING: Our Annual Parish Meeting is Sunday, November 6, immediately following Divine Liturgy. At that meeting we discuss and approve the 2023 budget and discuss important upcoming activities and events. We are providing pizza for those who are able to attend. We will also provide the Annual Meeting booklet one week in advance for people to review.
(4) TEACH ME THY STATUTES PODCAST: If you would like to listen to this week’s Teach Me Thy Statutes podcast (with Fr Aaron & Jason Ewertt), you can find it here: https://tmts.transistor.fm/.
(5) PASTORAL VISITS: If you would like a pastoral visit for any reason, or if you know of a family member/parishioner who needs a visit, please feel free to contact me via cell phone at 204-6725.
Yours in Christ,
Fr Aaron
