During the Advent Fast, we abstain from meat & dairy products. However, fish, wine, and oil are allowed on all days of the week except Mon/Wed/Fri.

(2) THANKSGIVING WEEK: I will be out of town Sunday, November 20, following Divine Liturgy through Saturday, November 26. In case of a pastoral emergency, please feel free to contact me that week.

(1) ANNUAL PARISH MEETING: Our Annual Parish Meeting is Sunday, November 6, immediately following Divine Liturgy. At that meeting we discuss and approve the 2023 budget and discuss important upcoming activities and events. We will be providing pizza for those who are able to attend. A hard copy of that booklet is also available in our foyer.

(2) FAMILY PROMISE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Our church will be hosting Family Promise November 6 – 13. This is an extra host date to help cover for a church who dropped from the hosting rotation earlier in 2022. Volunteers are being sought from the broader Family Promise network so we do not have to fill every slot from St Mary. (3) BELLES THANKSGIVING PARISH DINNER: The Belles of St Mary will be offering a Thanksgiving meal for our parishioners at coffee hour on Sunday, November 13.

(1) FALL FESTIVAL: Our annual Church School fundraiser is scheduled for TODAY from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Please see the linked flyer for more important details. In addition, since many of you are new to the parish since we last hosted a Fall Festival in 2019, here are a few key points about the festival.

  • It’s for everyone. Games with prizes for the kids (and the young at heart) and an adult dartboard with amazing prizes.
  • Chili and hot dogs for purchase for dinner.
  • Tickets are 25 cents. Bring cash or checks to buy them.
  • Please bring cakes/cookies/cupcakes to donate for the Cake Walk.
  • Please bring a couple 2-liter bottles of soda to donate for the pop toss.
  • People are encouraged to dress up, but please no scary or otherwise inappropriate costumes.

(1) BELLES HOLY BREAD: All parishioners (including men) are invited to join The Belles on Saturday, October 22, to make Holy Bread. Mixing begins at 7:30 am. Prep work for the Fall Festival will take place as well. Lots of help would be appreciated.

We will not have confession or Great Vespers on Saturday, September 17, but I plan to be back for normal Sunday morning services.
