Other Notes

(1) CLERGY SYMPOSIUM: From Monday, July 18, through Friday, July 22, I will be out of the office for the bi-annual Clergy Symposium at the Antiochian Village. Please feel free to contact me with any needs during that time.

(2) ST TIMON SUNDAY: Each year on the Sunday closest to the feast of St Timon, the first bishop of the Archdiocese of Bosra-Hauran in Syria, we celebrate our sister relationship with that archdiocese. During the Divine Liturgy we will commemorate all the clergy and people of the archdiocese, as well as Metropolitan Saba, their Archbishop. Unfortunately, over the years, that diocese has struggled greatly through the “civil war” in Syria and greater conflicts in the region. Consequently, we now take a collection for the archdiocese each year on this Sunday (although you may donate at any point during the year as well). If you would like to make a contribution this year, you can put your check or cash in the special designated tray on Sunday, July 24; or you may submit an earmarked check at any time to the office or in the collection tray. Checks should be made payable to St Mary, earmarked: St Timon. I thank you in advance for your generosity to helping our brothers and sisters in need. Dn James, the coordinator of the program for our diocese, will be providing us with updates on or near that Sunday.

(3) LADIES NIGHT OUT: All of our women are invited to the Ladies Night Out on 7/25. However, if you plan to attend, please RSVP to Robbie, rnamee@cox.net or 316-619-3366, by Monday Morning, July 25th, so they can let the restaurant know how many women to expect.

(4) TEACH ME THY STATUTES PODCAST: If you would like to listen to this week’s Teach Me Thy Statutes podcast (with Fr Aaron & Jason Ewertt), you can find it here: https://tmts.transistor.fm/.

(5) PASTORAL VISITS: If you would like a pastoral visit for any reason, or if you know of a family member/parishioner who needs a visit, please feel free to contact me via cell phone at 204-6725.

Yours in Christ,

Fr Aaron
