(1) FAMILY PROMISE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: St. Mary is the host parish for Family Promise on Sunday, June 5 – Sunday, June 12. To volunteer, follow this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0a49aaaf2baaf94-family3. Sign up opportunities include providing food for breakfast and snacks, evening meals, transportation to and from the Day House, and spending the night at the church. Vicki Jones will be out of town during this host week. Please contact Laura Stanley (347-3794) or Father Aaron with any questions or concerns. Thanks for your support of this important ministry!

(2) FR AARON ON VACATION: I will be on vacation and unavailable from Saturday, May 21, through Sunday, May 29. In my absence, Fr Justin Matthews (May 22) and Fr Joseph Longofono (May 29) will serve the Sunday divine services (no Confessions or Great Vespers those Saturday evenings before). In case of pastoral emergency, please contact Fr Calinic Berger, associate priest at St George, at 213-505-2874. From May 25 – 29, you may also contact Fr Paul O’Callaghan at 316-209-4676.

(3) MEMORIAL DAY GRAVESITE BLESSINGS: Memorial Day gravesite blessings will begin with the Trisagion Prayers of Mercy at 9:00 am @ Old Mission Chapel on Monday, May 30. To arrange for blessings at other cemeteries, please contact Fr Aaron if you have not already.

(4) NO FASTING THROUGH ASCENSION/PENTECOST: The Antiochian Patriarchate, in celebration of Christ’s Resurrection, observes no fasting on any day of the week from Pascha through Ascension (June 2 this year). From June 2 through Pentecost (June 12 this year) we observe the Wednesday/Friday fasts, but with fish, wine, and oil allowed. The week following Pentecost is also a week of no fasting, including on Wednesday & Friday.

(5) PARISH LIFE CONFERENCE: The Parish Life Conference this year is in Wichita (hosted by St George Cathedral). You can learn more about it and register here: https://www.antiochianevents.com/wichita. The dates are June 15 – 18 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

(6) SUMMER GARAGE SALE: The St. Mary 90th Anniversary Team is holding a garage sale this summer to raise funds for our $25,000 goal for Wichita’s Littlest Heroes. We welcome your items for our sale! Please bring items to the church during Curt’s hours of M-F, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Curt knows where the items should be stored. Please do NOT bring items and leave them in the hall! Please, NO CLOTHING and NO LARGE FURNITURE PIECES. If you have questions, please contact Laura Stanley or Tracy Namee. Thank you!
